Years ago my children had a smaller version of this fishing game, and they loved it. My children played by themselves, with each other, with “us” (mom and dad) and with many other relatives and visiting friends. It never got old, and we had a lot of laughs. And now my grandchildren love this larger version.I was very happy to see this fishing game has grown better over the years and is still around. I didn’t think it possible this game could be improved, but it definitely has been. More fish and a larger pond means more children can play at the same time. Now there’s music — though it can be switched off — plus there are more poles.This fishing game has produced more laughs and giggles from my grandchildren than any other game they have. I’m so glad it’s still available for the children of today.And don’t worry about little ones not being able to actually catch the fish by using the poles. They have no problem tossing the pole aside when they realize they can’t catch anything that way. They will eventually just pick the fish out of the “water”, much to their older siblings frustration. But it’s a good lesson in patience for your older children. And will give them practice as far as being nice to their younger siblings.I have to mention however that one reviewer said it doesn’t need batteries. Yes it does. 3 AA’s, and they are not included. But it’s a small price to pay for all the fun to be had.An easy 5 stars.

It’s a great toy for kids who love to play with magnets. They will have lots of fun trying to catch fish and making them dance around. It also has two modes, one without any music so it won’t drive you crazy after awhile. My kids love to play with this toy, and it keeps them occupied for a long time. It doesn’t take batteries either, which is always a plus! My son loves this toy. He is almost three years old and he really enjoys it. It’s a great way for him to use his imagination while playing with other toys or by himself. I love that it teaches him how to be patient and wait for something good to happen. It is a wonderful toy that I highly recommend! The game itself is pretty simple. You put the poles in the water, wind up and throw them out there. Then you try to catch fish with your magnet rod. The more fish you catch, the higher your score. The game is easy to assemble, but you will have to use the included screwdriver. It’s so exciting to bring the classic memories back and share this game with my kids! This set is really cool. When I was a kid I had a game like this but it was only the magnetic fishing rods. The rods with the hooks that came in this set adds a bit of a fun challenge! The game seems well built and should last a long time if it’s played with the way it should be. I’m very pleased with the quality and excited to add the game to our family game nights! It’s very cool to see my wild, rambunctious 3 year old sit still and use her focus and practice hand eye coordination.

We had the “original” version of this fishing game for our son decades ago when he was a child, now we have this “new” version for our great-grandson. The fish are “smaller” but the gameplay is the same as the “original” and just as fun.We’re happy that our great-grandson can play the same “fishing” game that his grandfather did and has just as much fun with it now as we did originally.It’s a nice game and a fun to play concept and we’re all having a good time with it, once again!!

My little one just loves this game….the same one I remember my older ones playing years ago! What is nice for the younger aged is the magnetic portion. Makes the game more enjoyable for them. And more enjoyable for the parents is the choice of music on or off. This game is so much fun I often see my child just playing by himself and being so proud of his fishing skills.

This toy is great! I’ve always loved playing this game when I was younger, so I had to get this for my son and nephew. You can choose to play with 4 regular fishing poles or the 4 magnetic fishing poles. It also includes a few extra fish in case one gets lost. The game is much bigger than our older one.
